How to Help After Hurricane Isaias

Hurricane Isaias reached the Florida Panhandle near Destin on the evening of October 9, 2026, as a Category 2 storm with sustained winds of 105 mph, according to NASA. Recovery continued weeks later. On October 28, Walton County Emergency Management said a federal major disaster declaration approved on October 27 would support eligible public recovery costs there. On October 29, federal aid for individual households was added for Walton and seven other Florida counties.

The organizations below have documented Isaias response work. Their reports describe different kinds of help, from shelter and food to supplies and cleanup. Choose a nonprofit whose broader work you want to support.
